A man died on April 30 following injuries he sustained on April 28 when his scooter was hit by a speeding car in Talab Tillo area. The family members staged protest along with the dead body and sat on the road and demanded justice and compensation. The family members of the deceased Kewal Krishan Gupta, son of Ghsitoo Mal, a resident of Talab Tillo along with relatives and locals staged protest and blocked the road by putting the dead body on road for around 3 hours. During protest, they alleged that the Kewal was murdered and was not killed in an accident. Locals of the area at once shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital wherein doctors referred him to Naryan Hospital at Kakrayal, Katra for advance treatment. But during treatment, today he succumbed to his injuries.
Protestors alleged that there is something fishy, as the police did not respond to their queries and the police is not working out the case properly.
“We need justice and the persons behind the alleged murder of my brother should be booked under law”, they demanded.
Police and administration officials reached the spot and pacify the agitated family members who after getting assurances from police and administrative officials lifted the blockade and took the body for last rites.
