Retired J&K police personnel stages protest against pay anomaly

Discrimination with Jammu and Kashmir retired Police Personnel (pensioners) in pay anomaly, the members of retired police personnel today staged a protest at Vijaypur Block office ground District Samba under the chairmanship of Ajit Singh, president J&K retired police personnel (pensioners).
During protest, Ajit Singh said the protest was held against the government order number 229 F of 2014 dated October 17, 2014 regarding pay anomaly.
Singh said that the effect of above said order is being given prospectively, which means whereas, the effect should have from the year 1996 when 5th pay commission was implemented throughout state but only this police department, was left out. Some of them have even expired and surviving strugglers should get the benefit, various pay anomaly committees have been formed and they have given their up and approvals from time to time, he said. The details of such committees are as under, the first pay anomaly committee was the year October 2009 whose G.O. No. was 1387 GAD 8th Oct. 2009 based its recommendations, orders were issued vice G.D. No. dated 21 Dec. 2010 for removal of pay anomaly, the second committee constituted on September 15, 2011 government revived pay anomaly committee order 67-GAD of 2012 dated January 2012 to once again look the pay anomaly.
