Retired Pak Army personnel arrested by BSF on IB in Jammu


Jammu, Dec 13 (UNI) BSF troops have arrested a retired Pakistani Army personnel from international border in Ramgarh sector of Samba district in Jammu region.

“Late last evening, a suspicious movement on Pakistan side was noticed at IB by alert BSF troops, ahead of fence in Ramgarh Sector following which they fired few rounds,” BSF official here today said.

He said that due to fog and wild growth further it could not be observed, adding, “later again after some distance alert BSF person on duty at Naka mound again observed suspicious movement of a person ahead of fence on indian side of IB”.

“Alert BSF person forced him to surrender and he was arrested,” said an official adding that he was identified as Mohammed Baksh,65, S/O Firozdin, vill-Gandyal,Tehsil -Pasroor, Distt-Syalkot, Punjab (Pakistan).

“Arrested person disclosed that he had retired from Pakistan army,” the BSF officer said and added that the matter is being investigated.
