A medical camp was organised at Pichnar by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Samote under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles counter insurgency Uniform Force Headquarter, Reasi in coordination with the civil administration.
The camp witnessed an unprecedented response from the local populace. A team of doctors from Army and Civil Administration alongwith Nursing Assistants conducted the medical checkup during the event.
In addition to providing medical aid and free distribution of medicines, the team also educated the villagers about hygiene and sanitation, preventive measures to avoid contagious diseases and benefits of family planning.
A total of 516 people including 246 women and 62 children from Pichnar and far flung villages of Targain, Mohra Kandra, Katogawa, Danah, Chahpati, Dramman, Mohra Lathi, Phalni, Samote, Budhal and Kewal benefited from the medical aid.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Shah Mohammed, Sarpanch, Targain village said that, Army has brought this facility to our door step and has been doing same for a long period of time for which locals are grateful to them.
