RR promotes entrepreneurship training

The Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Battalion at Samote conducted the programme for the unemployed youth of the region in collaboration with `Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute’ (JKEDI) under the Himayat Self Employment Component as part of skills “Empowerment and Employability Scheme”of Prime Minister Office
and Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. A total of 80 aspiring entrepreneurs attended the lecture on enterprise led livelihood by imparting training, sector exposure, financial linkages, hand holding and mentoring support to aspiring candidates to take-up entrepreneurial activities. Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) is aimed at imparting skills in selection of a product, service, planning and functioning of new units for efficient management.
The project under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavana aims to provide opportunity for the unemployed youth of the area to start their own enterprise and also would provide impetus to the tenacious economy of
the region.
