RTO Kathua organises workshop on Road Safety

Regional Transport Office Lakhanpur, Kathua in collaboration with DIET Basohli organised a workshop on Road Safety at Government Middle School Chack Sheikhan at Kathua.
The workshop was attended by as many as 50 teachers from Kathua and Lakhanpur education zone’s.
RTO Kathua Amarjeet Singh was the chief guest whereas Principal DIET Basohli presided over the workshop.
While addressing the teachers RTO Kathua impressed upon the need to create human resource for mass dissemination of the message of road safety. He said the aim was to make master trainers fully acquaint with traffic rules can organise road safety awareness in their respective schools and zone on regular intervals. He said Moter Vehicle Department under the aiges of RTO Kathua will provide all material like road sign boards, and other support to these master trainers for road safety awareness activities.
The RTO also informed that the services of these master trainers will be well documented so that they can continue their activities where ever they will be posted in the course of their service.
During the proceedings of workshop suggestions from teacher were apprised to the RTO Kathua. Responding to the suggestions RTO assured that Zebra Crossings points and glow signs will be made at identified locations for which he assured that matter with PWD and other agencies will be take up at the earliest.
He said such workshop will be organised in each zone in phased manner with the aim to create huge human resource which can multiply the message of road safety to every nook and corner of the district.
Principal DIET Basohli Tarsem Raj, Cordinator Satya Devi, Sr HOD Rakesh Brahmi, Resource Person Hardeep Singh Sr Lecturer, Vaseshwer Singh Lecturer, Teacher Ravikant and Teacher Manvir Sambyal were present during the occasion.
