SDS calls for Bandh, demand slapping of PSA on miscreants

Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS), in a meeting held today, decided to observe Bandh till st culprits responsible burning the shops in Rajouri town are not booked.
The meeting was attended by about 500 prominent members of the Sabha. In the meeting, recent Rajouri incident was discussed and the minority community expressed their strong resentment over the recent burning of some shops in Rajouri town. In the meeting the president of Sanathan Dharam Sabha Rajouri Dinesh Sharma briefed the members about the Yesterday’s meeting with the CAPD Minister Choudhary Zulifkar Ali and with the members of majority community at Dak Bunglow Rajouri, wherein the members of majority community were asked about the reasons behind burning of shops of some traders of Rajouri. They asked what sin these poor and innocent people have performed due to which they lost their only source of livelihood. Further during the meeting all the members of Sanathan Sabha unanimously resolved that till the culprits of the incident are brought to book and are arrested, the business community in Rajouri will not open their shops and will go far indefinite strike. The members present at the meeting expressed their strong resentment over the prevailing insecurity due to which few miscreants were successful in burning their key business establishments. They demanded that these culprits must be booked under PSA and strong action should be taken against them so that locals can have a faith for the rule of law.
The members expressed their shock and grief over the loss of property due to which many traders in Rajouri have lost their sources of livelihood. The members of the Sabha demanded immediate compensation for Kussum Pen Store Rajouri, Malhotra Gift Shop Rajouri and R K Hotel at Rajouri who have suffered major losses during the incident. During the meeting a resolution was passed wherein the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Dy. C M Dr Nirmal Singh were requested to visit Rajouri and restore faith among the sufferers of the recent unfortunate incident. They also appealed to the state Government to ensure that the sufferers of this incident must be compensated properly and on early basis.
The members of the Sabha also expressed their strong resentment over the inefficiency of the civil and police administration of Rajouri who allowed the incident to escalate and wherein the miscreants were successful in torching the vital business establishments of some traders of the minority community. They also demanded a high level probe into the callous attitude of district police administration in dealing with this situation.
In order to prevent such incidents in future the Sabha members also demanded proper security for their business establishments.
