Sensex recovers by 59.37 pts

Mumbai, December 13
The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)rose today by 59.37 points to 26,574.61 opening trade on fresh buying by domestic investors ahead of inflation data to be released later in the day despite weak Asian cues. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 9.75 points at 8,180.55 points.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 26,611.81 and 26,494. 23 points respectively. The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 8,200.95 and 8,155.80 points respectively. Sectoral intraday gainer were FMCG, Auto, Capital goods, Consumer Durables Oil and Gas,power Realty and Teck while sectoral intraday loser were Health care,IT, Metal, Realty and Teck.
The gainers were Tata Motors by 2.03 pc 463.80, Wipro by 1.68 pc to Rs 461.85, ITC by 1.05 pc to Rs 235.00, Reliance by 0.81 pc to Rs 1036.40 and Maruti by 0.70 pc to Rs 5185.0.
The losers were Lupin by 1.31 pc to Rs 1,483.10, Tata steel by 0.99 pc to RS 419.80, TCS by 0.94 pc to Rs 2185.60, Asian paints by 0.75 pc to Rs 903.45 and Gail by 0.71 pc to Rs 425.7.
