Separatists withdraw strike call tomorrow as Anantnag bypolls deferred

Separatists have withdrawn the strike call issued for south Kashmir tomorrow after bypolls to Anantnag parliamentary constituency were deferred by Election Commission of India (EC).
The ECI yesterday deferred bypolls in Anantnag Lok Sabha seat in the wake of massive protests that left eight youth dead and 150 others, including 100 security force personnel, injured in clashes on Sunday during polling in Srinagar parliamentary constituency.”Both the faction of Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) have decide to withdraw the strike call tomorrow as the bypolls to Anantnag Lok Sabha seat has been postponed,” a spokesperson of HC Ayaz Akbar told .
The separatists had called for two day strike on April 10 and April 11 against civilian killings. They had also given strike call on April 9 and 12 against bypolls. Meanwhile, he said a condolence meeting will be held on Friday at Budgam for the youth killed on Sunday during bypolls.
