People’s Democratic Party (PDP) District President Kishtwar Shiekh Nasir Hussain called on Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti at her official residence at Jammu.
District President submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and also apprised her about the demands relating to tourism, health and infrastructure projects in Kishtwar District.
Sheikh Nasir projected demands including constriction of Sanghpura Vailoo tunnel; immediate start of already sanctioned Nursing college at Kishtwar ; creation of basic infrastructure including road connectivity to promote tourism; up gradation of Batote-Kishtwar highway and setting up degree colleges in Padder and Bonjwah areas.
Nasir also urged the Chief Minister for immediate completion of Kishtwar-Dachhan-Marwah road so that road connectivity is provided to the thousands of people living in these far flung areas.
He also raised the issue of immediate start of construction of new hydro power projects over river Chenab.
PDP district president also raised the demand of setting up of sub district hospitals with all latest facilities in Chatroo and Bonjwah area to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of these far flung areas.
Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the demands raised by the district President PDP Kishtwar and assured early solution to all the issues. Regarding the demand of construction of sanghpura Vaiolo tunnel she said that government is keen to start the project and necessary steps are being taken in this regard.
