Shiksha Niketan celebrates Birth Anniversary of its founder

To commemorate 105th Birthday of Dev Dutt Mengi, the founder of Shiksha Niketan School, Shiksha Niketan organised a programme with zeal and fanfare today. Former Minister Raman Bhalla was the chief guest while whole Mengi family, teachers, students of various wings, members of RM Charitable Trust, RM Public School and media persons were also present on the occasion. The function started with Havan-Yagna, followed by cultural programme by the students
and Preeti Bhoj.
Thereafter, a special tribute was paid to the founder Principal Dev Dutt Mengi by placing his portrait in the heart of the school premises.
The chief guest and entire Mengi family laid floral wreath at his portrait.
A cultural programme presented by the students was highly appreciated by all.
Speaking on the occasion, Rameshwar Mengi highlighted the achievements and contribution of Dev Dutt Mengi. He appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers of the institution. He also congratulated the students and staff members for the brilliant result of class 12th and 10th session 2015-16.
He expressed gratitude to the parents for extending unflinching support to Shiksha Niketan for over years.
He further said that Shiksha Niketan has made a brand name in terms of providing education in the state and numerous initiatives in this directions have led to the meteoric rise of the institution. At the concluding of the programme, a Langar was served to the people present in the institution.
