Shiv Shakti Sena protest against Commissioner JMC

Irate over the decision of Commissioner JMC for constituting ‘Rehri Zone’ at different localities at Jammu, hundreds of activists of Shiv Shakti Sena held demonstration at main stop near Fish Market, Janipur, Jammu today.
The protesters led by their leader Rakesh Gupta torched effigy of Commissioner JMC, raised slogans against Commissioner JMC and state government for such a decision.
Addressing the protesters, Rakesh Gupta said that these unemployed persons have been running their respective Rehries and Pharies for last many decades to feed and support their families but such a decision to constitute proper Rehri Zone will cause havoc upon them.
He said that JMC has issued directions without application of mind and if a Rehriwala who is running his business at Janipur is directed to work at Panjtirthi, it will cause a huge loss to him and it will be
impossible to stand his business at new phase.
These unemployed youths will be rendered jobless and will be forced to adopt illegal and unsocial methods to earn their living and feed their families,
he added. Gupta stated that Commissioner had previous issued directions for issuance of proper Identity Cards to these Rehri Wallas for their welfare but such a decision is not going to cause any welfare of these unemployed persons.
Owing to large scale unemployment, Gupta not only pitched for reverting of decision of the Commissioner but asked for more facilities to be granted to this weaker, poor and unemployed section of the society.
Gupta threatened to launch stir in case this decision is
not taken back.
Among those who attended the protest included Shiv
Deep Gupta, Satpal Sharma, Devanshu, Sonu Kumar, Ashwani Gupta, Kaka, Rahul Gupta and Aman Kumar.
