‘Shobhayatra’ marked Hanuman Jayanti

Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated across the District with religious fervour and devotion as Hanuman is the most dedicated devotee of Lord Rama. Hanuman devotees and activists of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh and Bajrang Dal took out an impressive ‘Shobhayatra’ on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Kathua on Tuesday.
The ‘Shobhayatra’ which began at Ramleela Ground concluded at Hanuman temple passing through Mukherjee Chowk, Shaheedi Chowk and Old
Bus Stand.
A large number of Hanuman devotees who took ‘vratham’ by wearing saffron clothes arrived from different parts of city to participate in the rally.
The participants holding huge saffron flags shouted slogans of ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’. Police made elaborate security arrangements and effectively regulated the vehicular traffic by diverting it to other areas from the ‘Shobhayatra’ route.
