Jammu Tawi, April 16
A fresh spell of rains on Monday dipped the soaring mercury in this winter capital of the state.
“The temperature, which was hovering between 30 to 33 Degree Celsius for the past some days, has been come down by five degrees, which was above normal,” a weatherman here said.
He said that the weather will remain partially cloudy with showers for next two days, adding that thereafter the temperature will begin to rise.
“It is going to be overcast with intermittent rain in most places of Kashmir valley and some places of Jammu region particularly Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Ramban cloudy and in Ladakh during next 24 hours,” Sonam Lotus, Director, MeT, J&K here said.
Meanwhile harvesting season is in full swing and the spells of rains have added worries to the farmer community.
