Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing first session to commence in July

Narayana Superspeciality Hospital at Kakryal the Shrine Board has also established a well equipped College of Nursing which is managed by an experienced Principal and members of her staff.
As earlier decided by the Governing Body of the College of Nursing, there would be only 60 girl students in the first
batch (2016-17). Consequent to appropriate publicity in the matter, the College received applications from 224 candidates for admission to the first year of the four year B. Sc. Nursing Course.
On the completion of the selection process based on the merit of the applicant in the 10+2 examination (90%
weightage) and aptitude assessment/interview (10% weightage) 60 meritorious girls have been selected for admission and an appropriate number kept
on the wait list. The registration for the admission begins
from today. The admission list and other important matters were finalised by the Governing Body of the College of Nursing which met yesterday, chaired by Maj. Gen. (Retd) SK Sharma, Member Shrine Board, and attended by Dr V Verma Dean, SMVDU; A K Sahu, CEO Shrine Board; Dr (Brig) M M
Harjai, Administrator; and Dr Shailla Cannie, Principal of
the College.
