Skill oriented Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme was organized for outgoing students of various streams by Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, in collaboration with JKEDI, Jammu. The team of experts from JKEDI Jammu sensitized the students regarding various schemes implemented by the organization for the benefit of graduates and post graduates students so that they can opt entrepreneurship as a carrier option. The student’s whole heartedly participated in the workshop and applauded the efforts of Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College for organizing such workshop cum awareness programme which opened new vistas of knowledge and opportunities for them. Prof. Aekta Gupta, Coordinator of the workshop briefed the participants about the aim and objective of the workshop. Prof. Ashwani Khajuria discussed at length the viability and importance of various projects that can be undertaken in the food industry. The workshop comprised of a theoretical sessions which included power-point presentations and interaction with the students. The next session was simulation session in which an artificial work environment was created to impart practical knowledge to the students. While addressing participants Principal of the College, Dr. Kiran Bakshi spoke about the importance of being self reliant and independent. She urged the students to take maximum benefit of the schemes of JKEDI. Prof. Shivani Manchanda presented formal vote of thanks.
