SMVDNSH inaugurates 24 hour free Trauma Ambulance Service

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH), a leading super-specialty tertiary care hospital near Katra in Jammu rolled out a 24×7 Free Trauma Ambulance Service dedicated to the residents of Jammu & Kashmir. The service was launched on the occasion of World Trauma Day observed on 17th October. The ambulance will be stationed at Kalika Dham Railway station according to an official release from SMVDNSH. It was observed that casualties were rising in the area and there were not many ambulances that operated with full-fledged team and emergency support devices. Hence, SMVDNSH encouraged the acquisition of emergency and trauma-care ambulance to provide timely care and treatment to those who meet with accidents
and require immediate medical attention.
“We are committed to achieving the highest standards in safety and well-being for all our stakeholders and the environment that we operate in. There has been an alarming rise in deaths due to road accidents and we will ensure and promote to reverse this trend”, said
Dr (Brig) M M Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer of SMVDNSH. “. The helpline number to contact the ambulance service is 01992-279301. The officials at SMVDNSH also emphasized the need to provide select group of doctors and paramedics, trained in practice modalities so that patients are provided highest level of monitoring and care required during emergency situations. The ambulance is equipped with a team of experienced paramedical staff from SMVDNSH trained in attending to accident and trauma emergency round the clock.
