Sonam Kapoor is in no hurry to cash in on her Neerja triumph. She has said no to all post-Neerja offers, except one. This one is for her sister Rhea, who is producing the chick-flick Veere Di Wedding.
It will see the actress reuniting with Khubsoorat director Shashanka Ghosh. Veere Di Wedding will have Kareena Kapoor as the lead and Sonam will be part of an ensemble cast.
Sonam confirms the news. “Yes, I am doing my sister Rhea’s production. But I am not playing the central character; it is an ensemble cast. This is the only film I am doing right now.”
She doesn’t believe in screen time. “For me, my interest in a character is not dictated by the number of scenes in which I am visible. I had just 25 minutes in Delhi 6. Boman Irani said something great when he visited the sets of Neerja: ‘There are no big or small roles; only big or small actors’.” She says that her next will neither be a screen adaptation The Battle of Bittora nor Saat Hindustani, as the rumours say.
