South Asian Amateur Chess Championship Field wide open as 3 Indians lead with 6.5 pts

At the end of round seven, no clear winner has been spotted with three Indians secured same 6.5 points in the ongoing South Asian Amateur Chess Championship, organised by J&K Chess Association, here today.
Overnight leader, with six points, Sonkalan Bharti lost in her seventh routing. However, three other Indians, Shet Prajwal P, Raghav Srivathsav V and Mohammed Fasal V U emerged joint leaders after seventh round obtaining 6.5 points.
In the meantime, a good number players, Arun Rathi, Jeet Jain, Mota Pankit, Ajith MP, Sayan Banik, Rishabh Nishad, Mohite Ranveer, Sonkalan Bharti, Suresh PK, Deepak Singh, Rupesh Ranjan, Anjana Krishna S were at same level with six points in their respective accounts.
Among J&K players, only Meenal Gupta was at top 10 tables with 5.5 points.
Now, the competition is left with remaining two round in this nine-round championship, followed by the valedictory function slated for tomorrow afternoon at the same venue of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust on National Highway (Sainik Colony).
