SP City North organizes Police-Public meeting

In order to make a friendly relation between Public and Police, Jammu Police on Wednesday organised a Police-Public meeting at Meridian Palace in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pacca Danga. The meeting was attended by Matador Operator, Businessman, Traders and Senior Citizen of the area in which SP City North Jammu Vinod Kumar, IPS was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the participants have raised many issued related to management of Traffic in Jammu City regarding prevention of rash and negligent driving, stoppage of Matadors at the places earmarked for boarding and de-boarding of passengers.
However, SP City North directed to the police officers present in the meeting to have people friendly and transparent policing be alive to the problems faced by the general public and try to solve problems put forth by the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, SP City North Jammu said that all preventive measures shall be undertaken and emphasis will laid on preventive policing to curb the incidents of rash driving and other traffic management related matters in co-ordination with Traffic Police. He has also assured that the service of police should be provided in a time bound manner like character certificate verification within 03 days, Service verification within 07 days and Passport verification within 10 days.
They were also assured that SHOs/I/C PPs concerned will take all possible steps for preventing road accidents and providing better services to the general public of the area.
