Special lecture on “Global warming & possibility of a nuclear war are major challenge”

Major General (Retd.) Vinod Saighal delivered a lecture on “The Paris Climate Accord: Fragilities and the Global Equipoise” under the Eminent Lecture Series at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
The talk was primarily a gist of his famous book The Third Millennium Equipoise. He covered the two most critical issues “existential threats for the coming generations” – ‘Towards the Zero Nuclear State’ and ‘Global Warming
& Climate Change’.
The session was followed by an interactive session. The Session was chaired by Dr SS Soodan, Professor Emeritus and Advisor, Acharya Sri Chander Medical College and Hospital and President of Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD).
Dr Varun Kumar Tripathi, HoD, Department of Philosophy and Culture, welcomed the guest. The lecture was attended by faculty and students of the University.
Dr Neera Singh, Coordinator IDPD, Prof. V. Verma, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Dr AK Das, Vinod Sharma, Administrative Officer, Kohli, Praveen Kumar, Dr Anil Kumar Tewari, S S Sharma, Dr M M Chaturvedi, Dr Ashoka Tarai, Dr Surendra Singh were also present on the occasion.
