SRS demands free hand to army to deal militancy

Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Jammu Kashmir has demanded the central government as well state government to give free hand to security forces to deal with militancy in Kashmir valley.
Addressing media persons here today, Shri Ram Sena state president Rajiv Mahajan expressed serious concern over rising militancy in Kashmir valley. He said incidents of militants infiltrating in Kashmir from across the border has increased many fold and the militancy in Kashmir has attained 1990 like situation. He said now it has become imperative to deal strictly with militancy, so security forces need to be given free hand to deal with the situation.
Meanwhile Mahajan paid tributes to the martyred army personnel who were cowardly killed by militants at Uri Army Brigade. Mahajan demanded the Army to intensify vigil on borders so that any militant who dare to infiltrate could be eliminated at the border before entering this side.
Speaking on the issue of unrest in Kashmir valley, Mahajan demanded free hand to security forces to deal with anti- national/ anti-social elements.
He demanded continuation of AFSPA and slapping PSA on miscreants after proper identification. Mahajan said no leniency be adopted in dealing with the miscreants.
He favoured using pellet guns to deal with mischief mongers.
