Hundreds of employees of J&K State Road Transport Corporation staged demonstrations in the SRTC premises here. The employees were demanding for the release of the last four months pending salary.
While talking to JKnewspoint protestors told that the corporation has earned huge profits, the employees have not been paid the salaries for the last four months. “This has become a usual feature now. We never get our salaries on time, “protestors said while condemning the indifferent attitude of the government.
The angry employees said their children have been rusticated from the schools for want of fee. “How can we give a better future to our children when we do not have even the money to pay for their school fee,” they said.
Many employees said that while performing duty honestly during this world wise Covid-19 pandemic and bring people to their home, it is unfortunate the concerned administration is ignoring us and deprives us from our right. They warned, “the Corporation will not pay their salaries within one month they would launch an intensify agitation.
