The teachers working under SSA wing of the education department are facing hard time as the department has not released their salary for the past four months.
SSA teachers said that teachers working in SSA line are going through very tough times given by the delay in release of their salaries. “Funds were not released proportionally with the number of SSA teachers in the whole valley”, the teachers said.
Fayaz Ahmed, SSA teacher said the commitment of the state government that the teachers will be able to receive salaries at the end of every month proved wrong and the fact is that SSA teachers get their salaries after five or six months.
“We can’t understand what to do as we are facing a host of problems. Most of us are indebted and some don’t have anything to eat. We require government and Education Minister Naeem Akhtar in particular to look into this matter and release salary of SSA Teachers at the earliest”, Fayaz said.
