SSS seeks final settlement of claims of Pok refugees

A meeting of workers of Shiv Shakti Sena, J&K was held under the chairmanship of Rakesh Gupta, State President at its office chamber at Janipur, Jammu today on 30th day of June, 2016.
In the meeting, Shiv Shakti Sena, J&K alongwith Party workers discussed the following points pertaining to Displaced Persons of POK of 1947 for Final Settlement of their claims. While addressing the meeting, Sh. Gupta urged upon the State / Central Govt to redress the grievances regarding the settlement of claims of Displaced persons in one go and without any further decay as much delay has already been passed and they have been suffering since last about 70 years for the want of justice.
In one such case, the Provincial Rehabilitation Officer, Jammu (PRO) has not entertained the case of Sh. Subash Chander Bakshi S/o Late Tirath Ram R/o A/P H.No.602-A, Janipur Colony, Jammu. Whose deceased father had migrated from Village Champur, Tehsil Kotli, Distt. Mirpur (now in POK) in the year 1947, despite the clear directions from the higher authorities. Gupta further stated Honble PM Govt. of India vide his Letter No. 25/3/ 2014 PMP 4/34881 Dated 07.04.2014 forwarded the case of Subash Chander Bakshi to the then Chief Secretary, J&K for appropraite action. The said case was forwarded to Revenue Department, which was again forwarded to Divisional Commissioner Jammu vide Office Letter No. Rev/Rehab/05/2014 Dated 29.12.2014. The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu forwarded the same case alongwith 15 documents to PRO Jammu vide his office letter No. 502/1610/DPS/1947,1965, 1971, but unfortunately the concerned dealing Assistant of the office of PRO Jammu misplaced the said file deliberately.
Subash Chander Bakshi was forced to prepare the said record again and the same was submitted to the office of PRO Jammu unofficially against proper receipt, but despite that nothing fruitful has been done till date.
In the month of Sept. 2015, the PM announced Rs.2000 Crores Package for disbursement as Financial Assistance amongst the Displaced Persons of 1947, 1965 & 1971. More than two years have passed but the said Displaced Person namely Subash Chander Bakshi has been rolling from pillar to post for seeking justice but of no avail.
Such inaction on the part of the concerned authorities is expressing the malfunctioning of this department. Bakshi has submitted requests for settlement of his case at par with other refugees, but despite his numberless personal visits to the concerned offices, the authorities are not paying any heed. Shiv Shakti Sena, takes up this issue with the concerned authorities for immediate disposal of this settlement case for providing justice to the legal heir namely Subash Chander Bakshi of the Displaced Person at the earliest possible.
