St. Mary’s Infant Pre School holds maiden Investiture Ceremony

St. Mary’s Infant Pre School (SMIPS) organized its maiden Investiture Ceremony on 3rd May 2016 in which a promising bunch of tiny tots with immense potential and outstanding leadership qualities took a vow of allegiance. The day was marked by multiple moments of amour propre as the deserving young leaders were vested with a new role to lead the school from the front.

The solemn ceremony to induct the council members for the academic session 2016-17 was graced by the valuable presence of Esther William, Principal, Alexander Memorial School and Mrs. Anna Mary, Chairperson of St. Mary’s Infant Pre School, who invested the new appointees with their positions of authority. School Principal, Sheetal Anthony announced the names of the office bearers while Mrs. Esther William and Anna Mary conferred the badges of onus and administered the ceremonial oath to the ebullient Council Members.

Speaking on the occasion, Esther William extended greetings to the office bearers as well as the position holders. She opined that students of today are the visionaries and torch bearers of tomorrow, and such dedicated efforts by the school in moulding the tiny tots into responsible leaders of tomorrow are indeed commendable. The splendid ceremony concluded with the national anthem being sung in unison. The jubilant Student Council marching ahead immediately to take on their new office and act as role models for the rest of the school to emulate was truly a sight to behold.
