State wrestling team leaves for Nationals

Jammu Tawi, April 26
State wrestling team, under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association, today left for participation in the 50th Senior Indian Style Wrestling Championship and Hind–Kesari event to be held at Pune in Maharashtra from April 27 to April 30.
Earlier, the selected team underwent screening test conducted by the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) at Dewan Mandir Akhara, here. Team is sponsored by JKSSC.
The Team: Hind Kesari: Jarnail Singh (51 Kgs), Ranjeet Singh (55 Kgs), Chain Singh (61 Kgs), Bhushan Mehra (67 Kgs), Balwan Singh (75 Kgs), Rajesh Kumar (85 Kgs), Abhishek Sangral (97 Kgs).
Krishan Singh and Sanjeev Sharma accompanied the team as coach and manager respectively.
Meanwhile, president of the Association, who happens to be Joint Secretary of the JKSSC, Shiv Kumar Sharma wished the team good luck and hoped for improved results.
