Steps will be taken to improve power position in the state: Ashraf Mir

          SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 26

Minister of State for Power and Urban Development, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Mir today visited EMC store at Kralpora in district Budgam and inspected the electric instruments stored there.

 

Government has assigned the job of improvement in electric lines to EMC Company which is being taken up under ARPDR-P. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 800 crore out of which Rs. 100 crore has been spent so far. Work on the project will be started in a phased manner.

 

The project is being started from Srinagar Budgam and Ganderbal districts.

 

While interacting with people, the Minister asked them to make judicious use of electricity so that the load shedding schedule can be followed effectively.

 

The Minister sought the cooperation of general public for timely completion of developmental projects in electricity sector. He said that the present government under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to provide 24×7 electricity supply to the people of the state.
