Students and staff of Jammu Sanskriti School pledge of saving Earth

To create awareness among the students Jammu Sanskriti School marked the celebration of ‘Earth Day’. The school organised poster-making competition followed with carrying awareness rally. The little kids participating in the poster-making competition with enthusiasm prepared posters depicting the importance of earth and duty of humans towards saving earth.

Later, the kids carried out rally in the city under the supervision of Principal Suchita Gupta. The students along with the posters prepared went for a rally throughout the city raising slogans “Save Earth”, “Grow more trees”, “Keep your earth clean” and many more to make the people aware of the value of our earth.

After the conclusion of rally principal honored the position holder students of poster-making competition. In competition Aditi stood first, Saivai stood second and Rishika scored third position.

The school also conducted a special assembly in which a quiz related to Earth day, and students expressed their views on how we can save our earth. All the students and staff took an oath that they will keep the earth clean and guide others for the same. Small children from classes Pre-Nursery to prep also performed activity by colouring the picture of earth.

On this occasion, Principal Shuchita Gupta said that we are entering the 46th year of a movement that continues to inspire, challenge ideas, ignite passion and motivate people to action. In 1970, the year of our first Earth day the movement gave voice to an emerging consciousness, channeling human energy toward environmental issues. Forty-six years later, we continue to lead with groundbreaking ideas and power of our example. We motivate our children to work on such issues. Let us start now and let us not stop. We as citizen of India must take pledge to save of Earth and keep it clean.
