“Submitted memorandum to the deputy commissioners on both the districts”





Opposing to the high court orders on Annulment of reservation in promotion today Ladakh observed complete Badh on Ladakh regional Action committee for protection of reservation (LRACPR) call.


However, in both the district markets remains closed while government and non-government department’s functions also suspended for a day. Protesting in the streets the protesters set fire to the tires on the streets in Kargil and Leh towns while in sub-divisions headquarters also remained shut for whole day .


Taking to media LARCPR Shiekh Abdullah jalili has said that the bandh has been called by the LACPR which formed few days back in leh with the help and support by all the religious, political and social groups of the region. He said, “We want to show the government that this decision is not justified and we strongly oppose it “


Vice chairman Imam Khomeini Trust, Molana Abassa Kararri who is also a member of LRACPR Kargil chapter, has told media that they want from local leader’s including MLA’s of both the district must raise their voice in the forthcoming assembly on the issue. He said, “We are eyeing on our leader and appeal them raise voice of the people of ladakh region in the forthcoming assembly”.


Sources said that In other parts of the Kargil district such as sankoo , Drass  and chickten complete shutdown was observed over reservation issue.


In Leh complete shutdown was observed and the whole day local shops including private and government offices remained close. However, Army and para-Military forces have been also requested for no moment of vehicular traffic during the shutdown.


Taking on phone from Leh Vice chairman Ladakh Buddhist Association, PT Kunzang has said that they have observed complete shutdown today. “Now we see the response from the government and if possible would not take any proper action to revoke this order the we will discuss the members of our LRACPR Kargil chapter for father course of action”. Kunzang said


He added, “Our struggle will continue until the order would not abrogated”.


In both the districts Ladakh regional Action Committee for Protection of promotion has submitted their memorandum to the deputy commissioner and demanded to  convey their memorandum to the higher authorities .
