Summer Cricket Camp begins at Parade

Organised by the Parade Sports Association, the month-long Summer Cricket Camp for young and budding boys between the age of 12 and 16 got underway at Parade Ground, here today.
The camp was declared open by patron of the Association, Anil Mehta in the presence of other members, parents of the campers and those members of the technical committee set up for the training. Speaking to the gathering, Anil Mehta said, “This is first of its kind camp wherein a number of senior national level cricketers shall deliver their expertise and experience to groom the budding cricketers of Jammu.”
During the camp, both young and beginners shall get coaching, lecturers for learning different techniques of fielding, batting and wicket-keeping from senior experienced cricketers of repute.
Alongside discipline and physical fitness, these campers shall be taught yoga and meditation techniques which are considered to be import for metal fitness of a sportsperson.
Earlier, general secretary of the Association, Dr Anil Kumar briefed about the activities and applauded Association president, Vijay Sabarwal, senior vice president, Sanjay Sharma and chairman, Des Rattan Dubey for their efforts in successful conduct of different events.
The Summer Camp organising committee included Kawaljeet Singh, Ranjit Bali, Harsh Nayyar, Rajinder Saini and Pawan Gupta. Other members, who were present included Pardip Bali, advocate Rajesh Jaitly, Akshay Khajuria, Rupinder Singh Bedi, Ashok Gupta, Vikrant Sharma, Sandeep Singh Sunny, Amarjeet Singh, Kapil Mahajan, advocate Ashwani Goswami, Sunil Gupta, Kulbushan Sadotra, Rameshwar Singh and Suresh Bharti.
