Tangible transformation taking shape in education sector: CM

Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti hailed the initiatives taken by the State’s Education Department, which, she said, have started showing positive results on the ground.
“We must give due credit to not only the authorities in the Education Department but our talented teachers as well, who have, with fresh resolve, taken up the mission of
turning around the educational scenario in the State,” the Chief Minister said .
The Chief Minister said she was pleased to know that around 45 students enrolled at CM’s Super-50 tutorials have this year qualified
prestigious Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to IITs and NITs across the country. “It is only because of the dedication of our talented teachers and hard work of our students that we could achieve this feat,” she said .
The Chief Minister also commended the Education Department for making a unique and successful intervention by providing free tuition to the students of 10th and 12th classes during winter vacations. “I am told that 1.60 lakh students have availed of this facility in Kashmir valley and we are now going to launch this initiative in Jammu division as well during the summer vacations,” she said.
She urged the Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar to continue with his efforts in turning around the educational sector with innovative initiatives which has already started a new discourse in the state.
