Tantrik and his associate held with Child Skull from Barnoti: Police

On April 14, Police team of PP Nagri detained a Tantrik who was called to eliminate the tension of relationship between husband and wife from Mahi Chak area near by the district headquarters. During the course of investigation into the matter, the accused Tantrik confessed the use of a child’s skull for a ‘Tantra’. As per police sources he revealed that the skull was obtained from the Barnoti area. After the disclosure, the police has now initiated process to get permission from the District Magistrate to investigate the skeleton in Barnoti so that the evidence can be mobilized in this regard. Incharge PP Nagri Incharge Ashwani said that on April 14, a skull recovered from Tantrik in Mahi Chakk was a child’s skull. The Tantrik who was later identified as Rattan Lal R/O Chhattisgarh and other accused Jitendra Kumar, had dug this skull from an area of village Barnoti. During the interrogation, the two have accepted this fact. Police officer said that the child’s age was not known yet. To search for the skeleton, the police has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, asking for the excavation in the area. After getting the strike, Skeleton FSL will be assigned for investigation. DNA of skeleton and scalp will also be matched. So that it can be confirmed that both belong to the same body. It is worth mentioning that the police had taken two persons in custody on April 14. The case was registered under section 295A of RPC on both the accused.
