Rajouri, June 13
In an effort to generate employment opportunities for Youth in twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri, Army in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), is organising remote location telephonic interviews for unemployed youth on 13 and 14 June 2017 at Krishna Ghati, Manjakote and Thanamandi areas.
A total of sixty five graduate unemployed youth from Haveli, Mandi, Mendhar, Surankote, Sangiot, Gambhir, Mangota, Sankari, Balakote and other remote areas of Poonch and Rajouri districts, having potential to work in multinational companies were identified, guided, trained and prepared by Army to face the telephonic interview. In the first leg of interview today, a total of 54 candidates underwent this process at Manjakote and Krishna Ghati under project ‘UDAAN’, an initiative by the Army in collaboration with TCS to improve career prospects and generate employment opportunities amongst the youth residing in the remote areas of the state.
Army has taken extra care and initiative in promoting this venture through its outreach to the remote areas and because of the fine bonhomie between the locals, civil administration and the Army this project has been made possible. The response of the youth has also been strikingly encouraging and such initiatives will only go a long way in addressing the aspirations of the youth.
The local people have also expressed their gratitude for creating this platform and acting as a medium to facilitate their employment prospects.
