Militants outfits active on the other side of international border are planning to target Jammu-Pathankote National Highway somewhere between Samba and Kathua during Amarnath yatra.
Highly placed sources said that there are such inputs by the security agencies that militants may target Jammu-Pathankote National Highway on the pattern of Dayalachak and Rajbagh police station attack in the year 2014-15 respectively.
If sources are to be believed even the militant outfits are continuously doing raccee of the Border Security Force (BSF) posts located along the international border and have been even seen by the troopers. The outfits have even stationed their ultras on the launching pads that are waiting for the opportunity to sneak into this side of the international border.
The information regarding the sudden increase in the movements and activities on the other side of international border has been also reported to their higher ups by the troopers. Sources disclosed that the presence of a small group of militants while carrying out rackee from the other side of international border in Samba district was also seen during the last week by the active BSF troopers after which the security was beefed up along the border and its adjoining areas.
Pertinent to mention here that security along the Jammu-Pathankote National Highway has already been beefed up after the recent Kud terror attack in which lone militant was killed by the security forces. Besides this Jammu and Katra districts are also on high alert since after the spotting of two suspects followed by the recovery of army fatigues from Domail area near Katra on June 11 as the security agencies have already issued warning of terror attack during upcoming amaranth yatra on the pattern of Narsoo terror attack of the last year.
