Terrorists open fire on security forces in Baramulla, no injuries reported

The terrorists attacked a search party of the security forces during a cordon and search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, police said.

The attack took place when the terrorist opened first at the security forces when they were carrying out in the orchards at Warpora and Dangerpora in Sopore area of the district in north Kashmir, police official said.

No loss of life or injury has been reported so far, the official said, adding that the search operation is going on. No contact has been established with the militants yet, the official further said.

The attack comes a day after the nation celebrated 74 the Independence Day.

Earlier on Friday, at least two policemen were killed and one injured after terrorists attacked a police party near Nowgam bypass in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
