Thathri Development Front welcomes move of celebrating Environment Day

While commenting on the celebration of Environment day by the state government involving school Children all over the State, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, President Thathri Development Front today welcomed the move but in actual practice, more is required to be done than the eyes meet.
Reminding the Forest Minister, Choudhary Lal Singh about a delegation meet with him on April 21, 2016, Rao said that despite pro-people approach of the Minister the red-tapism is a strong impediment in the way of delivery of justice. The inquiry pertaining to the unjustified felling of trees on Kahara-Jai road project from Halaran to Jai in Tehsil Thathri, District Doda, saving thousands of deodar trees instead of few hundreds, the inquiry ordered by the Forest Minister, entrusted to divisional Forest Officer Bhadarwah is yet to move the other table keeping the local resident of villages, Joura Kalan & Budhi of Tehsil Thathri, District Doda, waiting without any sign of relief.
Rao said though the intensions of Minister for forest are right & genuine but the system is faulty & jaundiced.
In this connection the deputation of villages Joura Kalan & Budhi along with MLA Bhadarwah, had called on Minister of State for Roads & Buildings, Sunil Sharma last year in April 2015 for saving the unwanted extra expenditure of Kahara-Jai road project from original 25 kms stretch extended to 34.5 kms deliberately and saving loss to the environment, no action has been initiated till date which is a great set back to the high hopes which the people had attached with the present dispensation.
The people hope that as promised by these dynamic Ministers, Ch. Lal Singh Forest Minister & Abdul Rehman Veeri, R&B Minister, an impartial & immediate inquiry is set in motion without further loss of time.
