Three LeT militants killed in Handwara in north Kashmir: Police

Police on Tuesday claimed to have killed three militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

In a tweet, Director General of Police SP Vaid said that three militants of LeT were killed in Magam area of Handwara today. “Excellent work,” he said.

Reports said that the gunfight started after the army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and the CRPF launched a joint search operation in Khar Mohalla today morning.

“As the forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering off a gunfight,” they said.

In the gunfight, three militants were killed.
