ToT workshop concludes at College of Education Srinagar

A nine-day Workshop on Training of Trainers (ToT) on Centric in Mathematics and Social Science concluded today. The objective of the programme was to brush up the skills of trainers in Pedagogy of Mathematics as well as sensitize them about conceptual challenges. During the workshop the participants were imparted contribution of great civilizations and geographical aspects of human life besides skill of preparing and delivery of lessons. The Principal of the college Prof. (Dr) Parveen Pandit discussed at length important concepts and skills of Teaching of History with the help of comparative timeline and use of progressive & regressive timeline in Teaching. The resource persons for the Mathematics Programme included Dr Fozia Qazi, Prof Tariq Ahmad Shikari, Mr Nasir Ahmad Shah, Mr Shahbaz while as for Social Sciences included Prof B A Bhat, Prof L S Sodhi and Prof Shazia. The participant trainers from various districts were trained in the subjects through the group work and presentations. The programme ended with the distribution of certificates and feedback from participants regarding the workshop. Meanwhile, the College also organized a 5-Day long Workshop for Training of Trainers (TOT)/Programme for Master Resource Persons (MRP’s) the State in the Discipline of Urdu from December, 19 to December 23 to impart training to Master Resource Persons for dissemination of knowledge & in methodology of teaching Urdu at Secondary Level of the School Education Department.
