Traffic on Ladakh highway suspended, Kashmir, Mughal road open

Traffic on the national highway, connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir, has been suspended following fresh snowfall since Tuesday night.

However, the Srinagar-Jammu national highway and historic Mughal road are through for traffic, a traffic police official told on Wednesday morning.

He said there was fresh snowfall at Zojila and Meenmarg on the 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh national highway. ‘We have suspended traffic as a precautionary measure to avoid any accident as the road had become slippery,’ he said.
