Two civilians injured in firing exchange in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

Two civilians were injured on Friday during an exchange of firing between suspected militants and Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police at Pulwama in south Kashmir.

Reports said that two burqa-clad persons opened fire at SOG personnel standing on guard at Pulwama bus stand shortly before 1 o’ clock.

The SOG men retaliated and in the exchange of gunfire, two civilians were injured, said a witness.

The injured have been identified as Rahti and Riyaz Ahmad Tali – both residents of Arihal Pulwama.
