Two drug peddlers arrested, 245 gms Charas recovered

In continuation to drive launched by the district Police Kathua to nab the drug peddlers, Police Party of Police Station Kathua headed by Inspector Anil Sharma, recovered 245 gms of Charas and arrested two drug peddlers.
The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Som Nath S/o Ram Nath R/o Jakhbar, Pathankot and Puri Nath S/o Aitwar Nath R/o Mansa, Haryana A/p Ward no. 10 near old bus stand Kathua.
Police spokesman said that, “Police party of P/S Kathua laid a special Naka at Barian Pattan, Kathua. During this police team intercepted two suspect drug peddlers on a motorcycle without registration number, during frisking of both police team recovered 245 gms of Charas. After questioning the drug peddlers disclosed that the consignment is meant for sale among the youth of the area. Police arrested the peddlers and seized the recovered material. The drive was carried out under the supervision of Dy SP Hqr SS Sambyal and under overall supervision of Suleman Chowdhary-IPS, SSP Kathua.”
A case FIR No 351/2017 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and investigation was set into motion.
