Two troops injured in Bandipora gunbattle, militants escape

Two Troops Injured during a brief Gunbattle between Militants and Troops in North Kashmir’s Shahgund Hajin area of Bandipora District today Morning.
Reliable sources said on a tip-off Army and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation in Shahgund Hajin area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District early in the morning after inputs about presence of two militants the area.
It was specific information that some militants holed up in the area. When the security forces were tightening the cordon, militants fired at them injuring two Troops who were shifted to hospital,” said a police official.
However both the Militants are believed to have managed to escaped from the encounter site. Security forces have launched massive man hunt against these two militants. A police Officials said that search operation in the area is on to trace the militants and two soldiers of Army injured during early exchange of firing between militants and forces.
