Unscheduled power cuts irk Janlglote Morh Shopkeepers

There is no respite from prevailing heat wave and humid conditions while erratic power supply irked the Shopkeepers of Janglote Morh protest against PDD at Kalibari, Kathua.
Miffed over the apathetic attitude of the Power Development Department, dozens of people including shopkeepers staged protest demonstration at Janglote Morh, here on Thursday. Protestors shouting anti-government slogans, staged demonstrations over long hour’s power failure in peak summer season.
The protesters said on one hand there are unscheduled power cuts and on the other hand department not bothers at all as far as the service of electricity is concerned. They added that frequent and unscheduled power cuts and poor service of power department has irked the residents of the area taking them on roads to protest against the department.
Protester Vinod Kumar alleging the department said that since the last one month they are suffering due to the lackadaisical attitude of the department. Presently also they are bound to sitting in darkness from last three days.
Bodh Raj irked over the department informed that they had brought the matter into the notice of the concerned department but they always give false assurances.  They demanded the Chief Minister and the Power Minister to stop both unscheduled and scheduled night curtailment of power.
