J&K State Rural Livelihood Mission (JKSRLM) in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has organized “Industry Talent Enabler Confluence.” In a first initiative of its kind aimed at empowering youth of J&K V-Mart Retail Limited, the major retail chain has moved forward to do a partnership with JKSRLM in Himayat project. Under this project V-Mart will give retail training to local youth of J&K and also provide jobs to talented once.
“We are really delighted with this initiative as it will increase confidence among youth. We want to run a skill development programme for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir so that they can lead a better life not only in J&K but any other part of the world,” said Lalit Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director of V-Mart Retail Ltd. At present we have 2 stores in Jammu and Kashmir and in coming months we have plan to open more stores, he further added”
On this occasion, G N Qasba Mission Director cum Chief operating officer of JKSRLM/ Himayat said ,”We are feeling really proud to be associated with one of the major Retail chain of India V-Mart Retail ltd. I am really sure that this association will give upliftment to the unemployed people and they can also lead a good life.
JKSRLM implemented the Himayat Project under Deen Dayal Upadhya – Gramin Kaushalya yojana (DDU-GKY). In order to have a great impact of Himayat project JKSRLM has organized Industry Talent Enabler Confluence. Himayat is training cum placement program for unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
