Various educational institutions celebrate ‘Teachers Day’ with great zeal and enthusiasm

ons in Jammu province today celebrated Teachers Day at its respective premises here. In Majalta, All the students and the faculty members of Government Degree College Majalta celebrated Teachers Day while paying tribute to S. Radha Krishnan. On the occasion, the students conducted classes themselves and organised a small function for the faculty members of the College.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sanjay Kumar, Prof Geetanjali Rajput appreciated the effort s made by students of newly born college. Prof Mukesh Kumar, Prof Kuldeep Singh, Prof Kavita and Prof Mohd. Mustafa were also present on the occasion. In Gandhi Nagar, Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar in collaboration with the NSS Unit of College
celebrated Teacher’s Day to paya glowing tribute to Dr S.Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary for rendering commendable services to the teaching profession.
On this occasion Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College was the Chief Guest. The function began with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by the floral tribute to Dr S. Radha Krishnan. Dr Kiran Bakshi congratulated the students for taking an initiative to celebrate the birth anniversary of living legend and hoped that this day will continue to maintain the pristine glory and sacredness of the teacher-taught relationship.
In Canal Road, the M.Ed department of Government College Education, Canal Road, here celebrated the teachers Day today. The Principal of the college Dr Kaushal Smotra graced the occasion as the chief guest. The students presented a colorful Programmes in the form of Saraswati Vandana, Rangoli, Poetry recitation and also displayed beautiful greeting cards made by B.Ed NSS students with the theme “the roll and contribution of teaching community in the progress and prosperity of the society”.
In Sainik School, the students and teaching staff of R M Public School celebrated Teachers Day with zest and zeal in their school premises. On the occasion, S K Jain, President of Vichar Kranti Manch was the chief guest. The programme started by the lightning of lamp followed by Gayartri Mantra. In Shiv Nagar, Teacher’s day was celebrated with great zeal at Lord Mahavira Playway School, Shiv Nagar. On the occasion, a special skit was prepared by the teachers of the School under the direction of Tarun Sharma renowned theatre personality of J&K state, President & Founder of Nat manch. After school the staff organised party where they enjoyed and celebrated a lot. Principal Madhu Sharma wished everyone on the occasion.
In Akhnoor, Teachers Day was celebrated in APS Akhnoor with great pomp and show. Students presented various programmes for teachers after morning assembly. Chief Guest of the programme was Col CS Shrma who spoke the importance of the day and distributed gifts to teachers. Chairman of the school Brig Rajendra Joshi has send his best wishes to principal KCS Mehta and his team of teachers. In Sunjwan, the students of class XII of K V Sunjwan organised the morning assembly with honour and garlanding of Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, the mass plantation drive by students and teachers was organised, School Captain Master Sanket lead the program and the blessing was offered by Principal Manish Tuli.
Retired Teacher, Veena Kaul and Raj kumar graced the occasion by their presence and blessings. Students organised games for teachers and celebrated the occasion joyfully. In Janipur, the students and staff members of Ist Step Tutorial Janiura celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm.
B L Kapoor, Chairman J&K Human Rights Watch was the chief guest on the occasion. Prizes were distributed among the position holders of classes 8th, 10th and 12th. Toppers among them are Riyushi Roy, Sameer Sharma, Sonali Chadha, Vanshika Sangotra, Meetali chadha and many more.
Kapoor while speaking said that National Teacher Day is a good time to learn about the contributions of teachers in our society as they are the team pillars of the Nations.
