Rajouri, October 19
Accelerating the pace of development works in Rajouri district, the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Vibodh Gupta on Monday inaugurated a tranformer of 63 KVA capacity for the Sranoo village in Danghari area of Rajouri.The transformer was sanctioned by the MLC under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking on the occasion, MLC congratulated the people over the installation of the transformer which is the long pending demand of the people who were living in the darkness for the past many years. Vibodh also said the areas of Rajouri which are facing the problem of low voltage and unscheduled power cuts are kept on priority and in the coming days, installation of new transformers and upgradation of transformers in those areas will take place.He also asked the people to use the power judicially and pay their power bills on time.
Vibodh Gupta also lauded the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh who according to him is doing a commendable job in streamlining the power sector in the State in general and Rajouri district in particular. He also informed to the people that the ‘rural electrification’ is the prime objective of both the Central and State governments and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very keen to make every home to be electrified in rural India.
Speaking on the occassion, ex-chairman municipal committee Rajinder Gupta appreciated the role of Coalition Government in mitigating the sufferings of people in this border district and he asked people to become the eyes and noose of the government to help in implementing the government schemes and plans. XEN PDD, and other officers as well local residents accompanied the MLC.
