Vice Chancellor inaugurates Yuva Dogri Lekhak Seminar

Prof. R D Sharma, Vice-chancellor, University of Jammu today inaugurated Yuva Dogri Lekhak Seminar at K L Saigal Hall, Academy Complex, Jammu.
This event on the topic Vartmaan Yug te Dogri Sahitya is being organised by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages supported by of Dogri Department University of Jammu.
Dr Lalit Magotra, Convener Dogri Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and renowned Dogri litteratur presided, Prof. R.D Sharma, Vice-chancellor, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest, Desh Bandhu Dogra Nutan, a prominent Dogri writer, Prof Parmeshwari Sharma, HOD Dogri, University of Jammu and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn Additional Secretary, JKAACL were also present in the predisium.
Delivering his presidential address, Dr Lalit Magotra congratulated Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for organizing such type of seminar which is quite innovative and is the necessity of the present time.
Keeping in view the participation of the scholars of Dogri Department, he hoped that the future of Dogri language and literature is now secure. He also appealed to the Vice-chancellor, University of Jammu to include 2 mandatory computer and English papers in the syllabi of Dogri language in the Dogri Department so as to make these students worth to complete with the rest of the world.
Extending his gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Prof R D Sharma threw light on the importance of this event especially meant for the research scholars who have to play a big role in the society.
Earlier delivering his welcome address, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL high-lighted the importance of the programme which has been started especially for the scholars and students.
Desh Bandhu Dogra Nutan, a prominent Dogri writer presented a detailed key note address on the topic of the seminar. Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, H.O.D, Deptt. Of Dogri, University of Jammu delivered vote of thanks.
In the first paper reading session, Gianeshwar, eminent Dogri Poet and writer presided and the second paper reading session was presided by Mohan Singh, prominent Dogri playwright, Poet, writer, artist and president, Duggar Manch, Jammu presided.
Ashok Gupta, Editor Dogri conducted the proceedings of the programme of the inaugural session whereas Yash Paul Nirmal, Research Assistant of the Academy conducted the proceedings of the other sessions.
Those who read out their research papers on different topics of the literature were Dr Suresh Sharma, Vaishno Devi, Manu Sharma, Ritu Sharma Dr. Sapna Narainia, Dr. Deepika Mehra , Dr. Jatinder Singh, Dr. Rajnish Kumar, Preeti Rachna, Rajesh Manhas, Neeru Devi Anand, Radha Rani, Anju Bala, Ritu and others.
Among others were present in this seminar included Dr Baljit Raina, S Balwinder Singh, CS Katal, Prof Nirmal Vinod, Er Sunil Sharma, Vandana Thakur, Rajni and Esha Balgotra.
