VRS employees of SRTC protest for their demands

Several VRS/GHS employees of SRTC led by their president Dev Raj Bali held demonstration at Press Club Jammu today for not releasing their long pending dues.

Addressing the protesters, Bali alleged that step motherly treatment is being given to them by state government and SRTC.

He said that they have been struggling for their legitimate dues for the last more than six years but the authorities concerned is least bothered.

He said that till date about 14 employees from Jammu province have expired during this long struggle as they could not afford good treatment for want of money.

He also alleged that they were duped by the state government making commitment that those who would take VRS/GHS, their account will be settled within 60 days but they have not been paid their dues even after expiry of six years.

He appealed Chief Minister to personally intervene to release their dues at the earliest.

Among others present in the protest included Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh, JD Singh, BB Sharma, Gulshan Singh, Dwarka Nath and others.
