VRS employees stage protest against SRTC

All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association continue to  protest demonstration frequently against state SRTC for not clearing their pending dues.

Today, scores of VRS employees led by union president Dev Raj Bali at Gandhi Nagar Jammu.

Addressing the protesting employees, Union President Dev Raj Bali, criticized the Government and SRTC for duping them by denying all

benefits after they took VRS/GHS.

He said they took VRS/GHS on the assurance that their dues will be released within 60 days but they have been struggling for the same for last so many years and in this struggle about 12 VRS/GHS employees died as they could not afford treatment for want of funds.

He appealed to the state government particularly to Finance Department to clear their dues in all respects which include 6th Pay Commission arrears wef 1st Jan 2006 and COLA arrears since 1999 in the coming budget session, which is going to be held on May 25th, 2016so that their liability is cleared in all respect.

Their main demands included 6th Pay Commission arrears wef January 1, 2006, COLA arrears wef 1999 and pension benefits.

Among others present in the protest included Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Kulbir Singh, Dwarka Nath, BB Sharma, Prem Nath, Sain Mohd, Gulshan Singh and others.
